Campers

Copper Cannon Campers – it’s all about you! Everything we do at Copper Cannon 52 weeks a year boils down to making your week at camp the best possible experience. No matter what you are in to, there will always be activities you will love as well as new opportunities to try out! No matter who you are or where you come from, there will always be great new friends to meet and awesome counselors to build relationships with! You will learn valuable lessons and make priceless memories. A week of camp is not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but that week of camp is more than enough to have a lifelong impact you will never forget.

Join us this summer for the time of your life! Once you get involved at Copper Cannon, you can come back every summer all the way until you are eligible to become a counselor! There is something for everyone, from younger campers all the way up through teens:

Age 9-12: Traditional Camp
Campers between the ages of 9-12 have the opportunity to come to Copper Cannon and experience a week of what summer camp is all about! Activities include everything from Archery and Swimming to Ropes Courses and Campfires, plus some surprises we guarantee you haven’t seen at any other camp before. You’ll share a cabin with 5-6 other campers for the week and have awesome counselors who care about you and are there to make sure you have an awesome time. The food is great, the activities are fun and the friendships you make last forever!

Age 13-15: Ranger Week
Campers between the age of 13-15 who love the traditional summer camp experiences can keep their time at Copper Cannon Camp going with Ranger Week! Campers will spend a week with other awesome teens looking for that same great summer camp experience as they are. While Ranger Week offers many of the same activities that our other camp weeks offer such as archery and swimming, there are other surprises that make this week unique for our teen campers. Some favorites include events such as the Mr. and Mrs. Copper Cannon pageant and heading off the property to go explore some of the great attractions in the White Mountains Area.

Age 13-15: RHA Backpacking Adventure
Campers looking for a true wilderness experience can join the Copper Cannon RHA Backpacking Adventure! There are two weeks for our prospective backpackers: the seven-day backpacking adventure at the beginning of the summer and one nearer the end. Campers spend the entire week living outside and learning nature skills, wilderness survival skills and other outdoor-related activities. After a couple days of practicing at camp, it’s time to load up the packs with gear and food and hit the trail for incredible backpacking trips through the White Mountains!

Age 13-15: RHA Mountain Biking Adventure
Be a part of one of the coolest new programs at Copper Cannon! Campers participating in the Mountain Biking Adventure program will learn about bike maintenance, riding techniques and other cool skills. Having your own bike is not required – Copper Cannon maintains a large collection of high-quality mountain bikes for campers in our programs to use! After mastering the basics, Mountain Biking Adventurers will hit the trails in the adjacent White Mountain National Forest for trips full of fun, freedom and adventure!

Age 15-16: Last Chance Camp
Keep engaged with Copper Cannon Camp even though you might be a little older. This will be a new program for the summer of 2016 and planned just for the older crowd. Not only will you be a role model for the rest of camp, but get the best of what Copper Cannon has to offer. A day will be spent hiking, a day canoeing, one mountain biking and a day on the ropes course. It just doesn’t get better than this!

Age 16: Counselors-In-Training
The CIT program bridges the gap for those campers who eventually wish to become counselors. Sixteen year olds can apply to be a CIT and join a three-week program learning how to be a counselor while enjoying all the fun activities camp has to offer! CITs have plenty of opportunity to practice their leadership skills, even being assigned to a cabin during their second week at camp to learn all the ins and outs from their co-counselor. The CIT program is perfect for those who hope to be a future Copper Cannon staff.
