Do we get any free time or down time?

Being a camp counselor is the toughest job you will ever have and we know this. We make sure that you will get time off at the end of each session and some downtime during the sessions in order to keep providing a great summer for all of our campers.

Most of our weeks finish Saturday morning and, after we have cleaned camp, it is your time until we restart Sunday afternoon to get ready for the next group of excited youth. During this 24-hour period we encourage you to do whatever you need to recharge. We also plan optional activities for the staff off site including going to local attractions and shopping.

In addition to the 24-hour period between sessions, most staff will see one or two hours of downtime during an average day while other counselors take over during “hill duty” and “siesta duty.”
